How it works
- AMPThe Voxy 30HW TB paired with the Voxy 2x12 cab nails the bright, jangling chime of The Edge's iconic vintage AC30 setup.
- DYNComp 1 evens out the percussive 16th-note pick attack, keeping each strike at a consistent volume before hitting the delay line.
- FX1Digi Dly is locked to the song tempo with a dotted-eighth division (1/8D) and moderate feedback, generating the galloping rhythmic counter-melody when played against straight eighth notes.
- ToneYour Strat-style guitar's Middle + Bridge pickup notch replicates the exact 'quacky' glassy texture heard on the album.
Tuning
The record is in E standard, low to high: E A D G B E.
Tune your guitar the same way. Or make your version above, say how yours is tuned, and your Pulze Mini shifts it to match.

Use the in-between middle and bridge setting to get that hollow, glassy Strat jangle with the tone knob open.
The original rig
The Edge's iconic sound is built on a Stratocaster played with a dimpled Herdim pick into a Korg SDD-3000 digital delay set to dotted-eighth repeats, driving a Vox AC30 to the edge of breakup. The combination of percussive attack, delay preamp saturation, and modulated echo produces the continuous, chiming rhythmic pattern.
The Edge (Rhythm and solo): 1970s Fender Stratocaster, Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man, Korg SDD-3000 Digital Delay, Vox AC30 Top Boost, Vox AC30 2x12 open-back cabinet

- Pick steady, straight eighth notes with light palm muting on the lower strings; the dotted-eighth delay fills the gaps to create the driving 16th-note bounce.
- Use a stiff, nylon or dimpled pick held firmly to get a bright, percussive chime on each strike.
- Do not overplay: let the delay do half the work by locking your picking cleanly to a click or drum track at 126 BPM.
